The 2015 Global Awards World’s Best Healthcare & Wellness Advertising competition is currently open for entries for an array of categories, including a new eHealth inspired category, ‘Best Use of Media: Technology’. The closing date for entries is 31 July 2015.
This is the 21st year running that the Global Awards will acknowledge excellence in healthcare and wellness communications on an international basis. Entries are received from healthcare corporations, hospitals, advertising agencies, productions companies and design studios that produce communication for medial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and wellness related products and services.
“The Global Awards is dedicated to evaluating emerging trends and technologies in the industry to insure that our categories mirror the constantly evolving healthcare and wellness landscape,” said Associate Executive Director, Global Awards, Caroline Poon. “Our new categories support the goal of the Global Awards to recognise all the diverse industries creating works for healthcare and wellness communications.”
The ‘Best Use of Media: Technology’ category is intended to honour innovation and creativity in areas including wearable technology, augmented reality, smart tech apps, patient-generated data and other upcoming technology which, according to the Global Awards, “will evolve the industry’s personalisation of diagnostics, treatments and preventative measures and actions for both healthcare professionals and consumers. The category highlights works leading the future of technology in health and wellness.”
The second new category this year is ‘Advertising to the Consumer/Patient: Promotional Marketing’, which is intended to recognise the variety of methods used to market to the consumer/patient that focus on patient empowerment.
The other new category is ‘Business to Business: Self Promo’, which will showcase agency and corporate self-promotion campaigns. A full list of this year’s categories can be found here.
The winners of the 2014 Global Awards competition hailed from 18 countries on five continents, which included two Grand Global Awards, 41 Global Awards and 117 Finalists.
Entry fees for the 2015 Global Awards are: $355 USD for a single entry; $595 USD for Campaign in Single Media; $695 USD for a Campaign in Mixed Media; and $60 USD for Young Globals student entry (entries will be accepted for the Young Globals student competition beginning in September 2015).
The 2015 Global Award winners will be announced in December 2015 and will be showcased at awards ceremonies in New York City and Sydney, Australia.
