CareChamp offers flexible and transparent short or long-term solutions for people in need of care in their own home – including elderly care, alzheimer / dementia care, post-op care, respite care and more.

All their CareChamps are certified Healthcare Assistants, checked for medical records and police clearance and are insured.

Where Implemented

CareChamp was founded in Cape Town in September 2016. The organisation currently operates in Cape Town with plans to expand nationally by 2017.

Contribution to eHealth in SA

Caregiving services are booked either online or telephonically and fed into CareChamp’s automated booking engine. After a reserveation is made, the care-seeker / client receives up to five caregiver profiles – matched to the client’s requirements – to select from based on video interviews and written introductions.

Their technology manages the scheduling, payments, time tracking and reporting. They also ask clients to rate each caregiver after a booking.
