The Impact Venture Incubation Programme (IVIP) in partnership with the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship has opened applications for the Impact Venture Incubation Programme Summer School ’18 (IVIPSS18).
Startups that are focused on building a sustainable Africa through solutions for Health & Wellbeing, Education & Skills, Cities & Infrastructure, Agriculture & Environment, Financial Services, Employment & Enterprise, Recreation & Leisure and Mobility & Communication are encouraged to apply online here before 6th March 2018.
Out of the applicants, 10 startups will be selected to take part in the 12 week programme at the newly opened Solution Space Philippi, based at the Philippi Village. The programme will begin on 3rd April 2018 and end on 30th June 2018.
According to the IVIP, “the programme is designed to provide a supportive ecosystem to help startups build viable and scalable innovation-driven companies for local community needs.”
During IVIPSS18, the chosen startups will develop their entrepreneurship skills through practical learning workshops and clinics were they can learn the fundamentals and core skills required to move their business forward. Throughout the programme, they’ll also receive feedback and guidance from a network of experienced mentors and industry partners.
The startups will also have access to a community of entrepreneurs to expand their network, as well as access to pro-bono partners and a network of consultants for support.
