Africa Health is expected to attract over 400 local and international healthcare exhibitors to promote their healthcare focused products and services in light of the growing African healthcare market.
Sub-Saharan Africa accounts for 11% of the world’s population, yet bears 24% of the global disease burden. Sub-Saharan Africa’s improving economic performance means the demand among all sectors of society for healthcare is poised to increase reaching a market value of $35 billion by 2016, just over 4 years away.
Africa Health is one of the largest healthcare events in Africa that provides a platform for the global healthcare industry to showcase their latest innovations, techniques and solutions to more than 5,000 attendees over a three day period. Alongside pharmaceutical and equipment suppliers, eHealth providers are anticipated to be increasingly active in the market.
Alongside the exhibition there will be 14 CPD accredited conferences covering various medical fields designed for healthcare professionals to gain and exchange knowledge, network, learn and share experiences. The conferences will focus on topics with an African context such as Infectious Disease, Human Rights and Medical Law, Healthcare Management, Decontamination and Sterilisation. “The Africa Health Exhibition & Congress has gone from strength to strength and continues to provide an ‘Exhibition with Education’ to the Sub-Saharan region of Africa. This year, we are introducing the ‘Training Village’ where event participants will receive up-to-date training and education from some of the leading healthcare manufactures in the world. We are also running hands-on workshops that cover topics that are highly debated in the African healthcare industry such as imaging, surgery, nursing, orthopaedics, laboratory management and general healthcare,” said Page.
2014 will be Africa Health’s fourth year of providing a source of new suppliers, products, information and services.
