Contribution to eHealth In SA

Swisslog and Rowa have assisted hospital and pharmacy staff across the country in various ways, ultimately benefiting the patients at these facilities.

DNA Logic’s pneumatic transports systems at Vredenburg, Paarl, Worcester, George and two military hospitals have increased efficiencies and stock tracking in a significant manner as well as providing an effective service to the patients who require medication.

To date DNA Logic has sold 12 Rowa machines in South Africa, with their most notable installation being at the Thembalethu Day clinic at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Gauteng. Rowa was demonstrated to many important dignitaries in both the private and government sectors, including the Minster of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, who was in full support of the Rowa machine. The machine has significantly reduced waiting time for patients from four hours to less than thirty minutes for a clinic that had seen over 600 patients per day. Pharmacists are now dispatched to the wards for further inpatient medication consulting as a result of Rowa having freed up time for staff.
