Contribution to eHealth in SA
A2D24 has successfully designed and deployed an electronic bed management system (eBMS) which has been rolled out across a number of public hospitals in Gauteng. eBMS allows medical staff to track and locate bed availability in a hospital as well as within a hospital cluster. The bed availability is displayed on large screens across the hospital making it easy for staff and management to immediately locate where the closest availabie bed is. The dashboard is also shared with ambulance dispatch centres who are then able to direct ambulances to hospitals with bed availability.
